2008 Dunkirk - Stage 5 & Joe Martin Race

Today is one more reason I love following races live or at least with write ups versus just looking at results. One would not know that Meatball was in the mix in the race. All we'd see is him is finishing 115th. And we'd have no idea the Tom is out from bad bottle mixes causing a bad reaction (well okay, that I got from his site but still). Results alone tell VERY little.

It's good to see Steven Cozza racing again from his fractured collarbone and holding his own. I would imagine that coming back from injury isn't something you can do in a few racing days. Good to see him back! I love it that CycleTo got an update at PC on his dog Teddy. It's possibly a little odd but that stuff is stuff I like being updated on. You follow these guys and your heart goes out to them with wins, losses, and everything in between! I'm hoping Teddy is there to give him wet kisses when he gets home this summer.

Stage 5 - May 10: Calais - Sangatte, 179 km

At a race here in the states - Joe Martin Stage Race in Arkansas - we have guys like Brad Huff, Bryce Mead, and Rory Sutherland out and about amongst many others. I hope you take some reads. Rory has a pretty fun site. He's got a Chopper Read (HTFU) video, a section you can listen to Australian slang, and updates on how he's doing. VeloNews has some pics but short recaps. Lyne at Podium in Sight is doing some nice write ups making it easier for some of us to follow it! Here's the Prologue and then Stage 1.
