2008 Dunkirk - Stage 2

I'm still wishing I could catch some of this race before this weekend but unless a plane ticket is in order, it doesn't appear to be happening. Cool reads though that Will and Martijn look to be the possible GC guys for the race. And love seeing Meatball get further up in the finishes. How awesome would that be for him to smoke 'em all to a finish?

Work was supposed to be slowing a bit but that just isn't the case this week. Meetings and hot follow up items taking up the entire day - and solid chunks of my evenings. Not nice when I want to check out some good cycling stuff. Have yet to get to the gym this week so the elliptical here is getting a full dose and the ipod is truly proving to be an awesome purchase. DumbAss has officially pissed me off tonight so GG I am sure you will be getting an earful if I find a break tomorrow. Can he spend the night? Oh well, then he'll just sleep in the driveway. WTF?!? What part of NO was there not to get??? I swear there had to be a dozen messages and no less than 2 dozen calls. So irritating.

I'm off to read up some more on cycling and all the great things popping up on the Giro. Enjoy!

Mike Friedman: Ma! The Meatloaf! Fu**! Always good to see Meatball connected even if probably just through the race. Make sure to check out his awesome outfit in the pics! I'm hoping he has a great race and then hopefully a break (back home) for him soon.

Interesting TV viewing tonight. I watched a PBS Special: Secrets of the Dead - Doping for Gold. I found it pretty interesting and really disturbing. The athletes didn't have any idea, it was all part of a normal life for them, and now so many are paying for choices made by others.

Sally's in Ohio this week so I am enjoying some time to myself. I returned that HR moniter last night and got a different one. After using it Tuesday for walking on the treadmill I don't think the calorie count was accurate. I checked our bike ride on caloriesperhour.com and it said 897 calories which I think is a little low, but still far from 2000 plus. Anyway picked up a Polar brand so we will give that a try.

We are going to Chris's for dinner on Saturday so I am going to ask to see the book they have on bike trails before I decide.

Don't work to hard and call me about DA if you get a break.

I'm heading out here in a short bit. Finally got to the gym today although it was noted. I totally needed and enjoyed disappearing for an hour. Oh well.

Thank goodness tomorrow is Friday!
