2008 Giro - Stage 18

Photo from PEZ cycling.

Whoo hoo!!!! Jens! gets the stage win. I thought for sure he went a wee bit early for that solo at the end. But one should know not to 2nd guess him. I wonder if someone messed with his food before the stage. That usually helps get him fired up! Tee hee hee! LOL!!! I love that man and will be very sorry to see him not in the peloton someday.

The Slippies hung back today. Can't tell if they attempted to get in the break earlier or if they planned to rest up. Either way, rest is needed. Have you seen the next two days? Gonna be some good stuff going down on them roads. I know the riders are probably tired but I can't wait for tomorrow. Good luck to all the guys. I'm hoping, but doubting, Julian will stick it out. Not sure the pain is worth it although he might just want to finish in Milan. I'm really hopeful that Pate makes it through the next two stages. I would really love to see him finish in Milan on Sunday. First GT ever, first Giro, and he finishes. That would be awesome!

Hey Nikki. You're on. I'm all about as much encouragement as I can get. And you deserve it as well. Read your post. Inspiring. Good job. Keep it up.

GG - Last night bit. Stress the night before so little sleep then the stress of it caused little sleep last night. Ugh. I really thought it was supposed to get easier. Rudeness and stress. I hate it. I'll drop you call after my shower.

Erik - consider it on! It's hard and being female with added hormones (not an excuse but reality) makes it even harder at times. There's weeks I bust ass working out and watching food and results aren't there. Feel better all the time but results (or lack there of) hurt the motivation. Once in awhile the thought all the hard work and how great it feels is so worth it though!
