2008 Amstel Gold

43rd Amstel Gold Race - PT
Netherlands, April 20, 2008

Another good race. Took a little longer to get really exciting but sure wasn't short of action. Watching this morning with the group over at Podium Cafe is truly becoming a great way to start Sunday mornings. I only wish I cold join in on the races during the week. Funny how work interferes with so much.

I had hoped that Frank Schleck could've pulled it at the end but he was just short. Michael Barry looked great up front before his job was done. Now there is a man who is a great rider and an amazing writer on his experiences. I hope in years to come that his writing continues even after racing. Slipstream was looking pretty good in the earlier part of the race but then fell back. Maggy and Kilian seemed to be smiling at the feed area before they went out.
